Welcome to the Open Sessions page at Tarnfield Bowling Club. Join us for a chance to learn and enjoy the sport of crown green bowling in a small, friendly setting. Our Open Sessions are the perfect opportunity to get involved and meet new people.

Bring a friend with you and try out the game for free in May

We have an Open Session on Monday every week 1: 30 pm to 2:30 pm, (Bank Holiday hours may be different) and whilst session dates and times on Saturday/Sunday, are variable, they will be announced at least 7 days in advance on our Facebook page Tarnfield Bowling Club and on this page on our website - please check regularly for details.

The club can supply full sized bowls for you to try or you might prefer to get used to the bowling action with our Bowls Buddies

and have some fun with our target games.

The only requirement is that you wear Flat Soled Shoes/Trainers to protect the green and no open toed shoes and sandals or bare/stockinged feet for your own protection

Tea and coffee will be on offer during these sessions.
